Answers, without the fluff.
Straight answers about how Maximum Tweaks works, what it changes, and how to take it back.
Every tweak is rated by risk and impact, and only hardware-compatible tweaks are offered. More conservative options (like the Balanced bundle) are safe for most systems. Advanced presets — Competitive and Maximum — make more invasive changes and are best paired with a restore point, which we recommend before applying them.
Windows 10 and Windows 11 are supported. The engine detects your actual hardware — CPU, GPU, RAM, storage, network adapters and your Windows edition — and only shows tweaks your configuration supports. If a tweak doesn't apply to your system, it's simply disabled rather than forced.
Yes. Every tweak and every bundle records its previous state and is fully revertible. You can undo a single tweak or roll back an entire bundle to restore your exact prior configuration.
It means the database of 865 tweaks is tagged with the hardware and OS conditions each tweak depends on. Instead of a generic 'optimize everything' the app reads your machine and applies only what's relevant — so you don't end up with settings built for hardware you don't have.
Three curated presets: Balanced (15 tweaks, safe everyday improvements), Competitive (29 tweaks, minimum input latency for esports) and Maximum (48 tweaks, aggressive debloating with clear trade-offs). Each shows a preview before applying and is fully revertible.
A network diagnostic that runs a multi-protocol traceroute — UDP, then ICMP, then TCP — and reports latency, jitter, loss, hostname, geo and ASN per hop. It detects live game servers so you can trace the route that matters and see whether lag is your network, your ISP, or the server.
Activation is with a license key that is device-bound to your hardware fingerprint. The app uses a short-lived session token and revalidates on launch, with an offline grace period. This keeps your key tied to your machine and portable across your own hardware.
